We first flew to Rhodes, where the catamaran Tilila was anchored in the Rhodes Marina.
On 20.09.2021 We meet the owner of the catamaran Talila – until then under the American flag – to complete the sale together with a lawyer from Hamburg who is connected online.
After the bureaucratic part is completed, it's time to settle in on the boat – the former owner has cleared out his personal belongings and we now have to bring our things on board.
8 boxes with a total of 240 kg of luggage were sent from home to the marina in Greece 10 days ago and now need to be stowed away.
While one part of the crew finds a place for everything on board, the other part buys provisions for the six-person crew for the crossing to Turkey over the next six days – that adds up to quite a lot…
On 21.09.2021 All formalities are completed, provisions and household goods are stowed away and it's time to "cast off."

The boat is then handed over to the new owners in international waters.
The catamaran receives its new name – formed from the two names of our children – JO nah and ce LINE.
We are re-flagged – we sail under the German flag with our home port in Hamburg.

After handing over the boat in international waters, we head for our first destination – Marmaris as the port of entry in Turkey.
Although we arrive there quite late, everything is excellently prepared by our agent and the Turkish authorities open their doors for us at the port, allowing us to clear customs quickly.
We spend the first night anchored off Marmaris.
After a rather stormy crossing – at its peak we had 50 knots of wind…,
We will arrive on September 25.09th.2021 our winter camp in the D-Marina in Didim.
On 26.09.2021 Then it's time to say goodbye, the crew leaves the boat in winter storage.
We covered a total of 180 nautical miles.
We fly back to Germany.
