21.09.2021 Proud boat owners
On 20.09.2021 We met as planned in the morning with the owners of the catamaran "Tilila" to discuss and settle the financial and legal matters. After everything was completed smoothly and according to plan, the crew was able to board the catamaran for the first time, and immediately the work began. 240 kg of household goods, clothing, and linen, packed in eight crates, had to be stowed in the boat. The crew moved into the four cabins on board and settled in. Provisions for six people also had to be purchased and loaded for the next five days at sea.
On Tuesday we set sail in the early afternoon after completing some formalities and checking out for our departure from Greece.
The “Tilila” was cleared and then we could get going.
At around 15 p.m. we reached the international waters between Greece and Turkey and the boat was officially handed over.
The German flag was hoisted at the bow and the boat was renamed “Joline”.
The christening speech had to wait a little longer; there was no time for it due to the stormy sea.
First of all, we had to get used to the new boat and reach our first goal – clearing customs in Turkey.
Overall, we were already quite late in the day and only reached Marmaris in the late afternoon, where our agent and the customs authorities were already waiting for us.
The formalities went smoothly and in the evening, tired but happy, we were able to drop anchor for the first time in the bay of Marmaris.
