Easter in the British Virgin Islands…
Our first stop on Virgin Gorda is again in the bay of North Sound to visit Saba Rock with our crew in the evening.
A beautiful setting, because Jens and Isabella are celebrating their wedding anniversary today, so there's Prosecco for breakfast and cocktails for dinner...
And Sabine insists on accompanying the tarpon feeding in the water – swimming with tarpons – she can't miss such an opportunity...
On the way to Spanish Town, we pass the SY Gian. She comes alongside and informs us about the Easter Festival in Spanish Town...
We drop anchor again in the bay of Spanish Town and visit The Bath again – a truly magical place that is worth a second visit.
Unfortunately, the red flag has been raised this time, so picturesque swimming among the granite rocks is unfortunately out of the question today…
The sleepy Spanish Town is up and running for Easter – a three-day program – but it's not quite to our taste, so we just help ourselves to the Creole buffet and prefer to spend a quiet evening on board.
For Isabella and Jens it's time to say goodbye again, so we disembark them in Virgin Gorda in the evening.
We continue our journey with Sabine the next day and head to Road Town, the capital of Tortola and also of the BVIs. Which might not be saying much, a sleepy little place that only comes alive when cruise ship tourists are there... And on Easter Monday, all the parks are closed...
So, after a delicious ice cream, a cold beer and an intensive shopping session by Sabine in the tourist shops for her loved ones at home, we leave Road Town again and anchor in a bay off Beef Island – where we plan to release Sabine back into the wild near the airport the next day.
So we spend our last Caribbean evening with Sabine in Love Bay – from here she already has a view of the airport tower…
