Review from Petra's diary: written 14.08.2012 – Meatball emergency

For the Sunday excursion to Amrum, meatballs will be provided, as the spa guests participating in the trip don't receive lunch. Therefore, the breakfast buffet includes two bowls of meatballs and a few packets of drink packets. Breakfast starts at 7:30 a.m., and there's a huge rush for meatballs and drink packets. For those who arrive for breakfast later, there won't be enough food.

So the excitement is high. Some people weren't able to get any meatballs or a drink packet, or even both... Those who missed out are upset. Rumors are spreading that some people helped themselves to too much, or that non-passengers who weren't actually entitled to it helped themselves.

Some refuse to calm down. Bag checks are being considered.

It's amazing what people can get worked up about in this country of abundance.

Despite the fact that at least 70% of guests should actually lose weight, although meatballs and drink packets certainly won't help, there are also food items available on Amrum at affordable prices (let's be honest), and it won't be so tight financially that a snack bar can't be financed...

So what are we dealing with here?

Petty theft or food envy?
